Yup, staring and eve teasing are major problems here. But please don't generalize every Indian man.

Well, the reason is there are still many boundations and communication gap between the two sexes. At public places the men are away from their family so many of them.....take advantage. and If a gal is not wearing traditional salwar-suit, saree, burka, etc....It's something new for them at public places.

I can explain this as the human nature
It’s like this when someone see something different not usually seen around them they stare if u observe u see women also stare when someone comes in mini but it’s just u don’t feel that
its only in India because we are not used to see girls like this Indian men[those stare] are brought up in situation where they don’t see girls like that and in other country they all are used to that
It’s just matter of time we will also see in India no men will stare at girls like that.
Then you girls don’t complaint no one looks at Us

What were you wearing? If you looked western, its something you invited on yourself, general image of western or western looking ladies in India is that of a "Nymphomaniac" or "Sex Object", promoted by hollywood and many western travellers who enjoy sex on the backseats of tourist cars and kinda feel cool (I have a first hand experience). For more on Staring: consult lonely planet's does and donts in India (ThornTree or something).

Men will be Men!!.....If They can they will (do stuff)........ OK another answer will look like: India doesn't have a good sanitation facility on transit, so when nature calls we must listen; As far as scratching balls is concerned, India is a hot/humid country and that place is notoriously itchy and hard to maintain particularly if person is not good at washing/changing his inners on daily basis. Next time when you see one doing that, make a video and put it on youtube [spare me].

Western women are well known for bizzare behaviour particularly to people living on tourist spots, and they treat them accordingly according to this and the steriotyping. I agree there is a kind of steriotyping, but its also in self interest of a person travelling in India to respect local culture and act accordingly. I have never seen people staring even on good looking ladies dressed appropriately; Sexual predators exist everywhere in this world, but they are more like an exception than a rule. This phenomenon is increased by the fact that Indian men get lesser chances to interact with women socially due to stigma associated to free will and sexuality.

I was just talking about certain steriotypes and acts that bolster those views. And yes Indian men are sex-deprived species (particularly unmarried ones), and many are reputed of exhibiting their fetish at the wrong time and at wrong places.

Any one in our country is free to talk, but when it comes to reservation I think 33% is to high in case of education even though there are men are good are not give the opetunity and women are given AND now a days girls are saying they as good as men then they should give computation and get placed.

I AM SORRY IF I HAD HURT U.:):):):)

What do men think about a girl telling her feelings

Dear proud Indian, There is nothing wrong in telling her feelings, why should a man feel hurt, not at all necessary. It is true women are equally intelligent, why, even more intelligent than men in many areas of operations and interactions. That is the truth and everybody, if not many , accepts. The 33% can be accepted and may be put into force in due course depending upon how the parliament votes, the President signs and becomes an act. In our country every thing got a procedure, accordingly it will take effect If the starter wants me more to write let me do it later on _________ As for the staring women , it is not a good one and as well many women and men dislike it,the reason being segregation of sex right from the beginning and brought up in an old outmoded systems etc, now they are changing. Effective implementation of laws and social acceptance. Media also play a role in shaping the behaviour. In movies the hero who is teasing a woman is acclaimed and picturised as if it is his birth right to behave in an inappropriate manner towards girls in general. Practically, When there is sense of fear that they will be punished forthe behaviour, then it will automatically will vanish and normal behaviuor can be expected __________ Indianking
