Holi is the festival of colors and is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. It is celebrated in the Month of March according to the Hindu calendar and the festival marks the welcoming of the colours of spring. The festival is celebrated with fun and frisk and is one of the most significant festivals after Diwali. The festival also denotes the eternal love of Radha and Krishna. Fire is burnt on the previous night of Holi which has a mythological significance. The burning of fire and puja of the holy fire signifies the burning of Holika, who tried to burn Prahlad who was the devotee of Lord Krishna. She was the aunt of Prahlad. The festival is marked by playing with various colours and exchanging of sweets. Gujiyas and Papris are made in this festival and various customs and traditions are being followed. The holi of Brindavan is famous all over the earth and people from various parts of the globe come here to witness the glory of the festival.
