One of the most captivating hill stations and the capital city of the state of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, is loved and adored by all tourists. For those who have visited the place want to return to the place as early as possible and those who haven’t visited, kick themselves only to miss the opportunity of seeing one of the Nature’s wonders. Shimla is a hill station which is very popular among the people and hence has received the name as the “Queen of the Hills”. The natural beauty and the unparallel locales makes the place a must visit by all. The entire belt of the mountain is covered with thick forestation of pine, oak and beautiful rhododendron. Apart from the natural beauty the place is also famous for some colonial history.

Himachal State Museum and Library

The topography of the place will evoke a sense of poetic feeling within you. The picturesque locales add to the mind blowing beauty of the place. There are many places that you can look to visit in and around Shimla and one among them is the Himachal State Museum and Library. This library and museum is the primary attraction for tourists apart from all the hills and mountains that the place is actually famous for. This library/museum houses some of the oldest antiquities and the manner in which everything is maintained is worth appreciating. The library has some of the oldest editions of books and also possesses some of the rare manuscripts dated back to centuries.

MALL ROAD in Shimla

MALL ROAD is highly rated in and around the regions of Shimla. The place has many different options under one roof. You can hang around, have a nice meal or shop around. The place is very popular among the locals and they throng in large numbers. You can look to let lose and spend some time together with the close ones. This place is indeed one of the major tourist attractions in Shimla.

other than the mall road for which the shimla is super famous, other places like christ church, kamna devi temple, st mary church, kali bari temple, tara devi temple are also worth visiting. it is a complete myth that the only place to visit in shimla is the mall road. skiing, trekking and mountain biking can also be done in the hills of shimla.

Hanuman's Statue on Jhakhu Hill

I would like to add Jhaku Temple to the List of visiting places near to the famous Shimla Mall.. And now there's another added attraction, a tall Lord Hanuman Statue on the Jhakhu Hill which is even visible from the national highway approaching Shimla. The statue was constructed by Amitabh Bachan's Sister and inaugurated by Abhishek Bachan recently in Nov'10.
