Eid stands for vigor of Muslim world.Akin to many other religions, the Muslim community across the globe takes pleasure in lots of festivals too and one of these is certainly Eid. Well, Eid happens to be the abbreviated form, while the festival, in real terms, is known as Eid al-Fitr. Whatever it is Eid al-Fitr or Eid happens to be a globally celebrated Muslim holiday that does commemorate the formal end of Ramadan or Islamic holy month of fasting. It is to be noted that Ramadan has three separate identities. While on one hand it happens to be the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, on the other hand it is also the month of fasting and holiest period in the world of Islam.

Eid is basically an Arabic word that denotes festivity while Fitr stands for "to break fast". Thanks to all these Eid or this holiday does represent breaking of the same holy period of fasting. What is more, Eid is commemorated on the very first day of Shawwal.

It’s the time to take a look at the general behaviors of Muslims on this fateful day. Muslims, being commanded by religious scriptures, regularly get up early in the morning and have banquet. Non-Muslims do not know that this breakfast or banquet in the morning has a great significance. All these indicate that the fasting has come to an end on that auspicious day. Generally, it does contain alimentary paste or dates. This is followed by the religious tasks and attending of special Eid prayer (salah) by Muslim men in a mosque in close proximity.

With the exception of the religious features, Eid happens to be a very cheery event for all Muslims and the reasons behind this statement can be found easily. Eid does stand for personal exultation, ultimate triumph over self-control along with celibacy or sexual abstention, exemplifying deliverance together with rejuvenation.

Last but not least, Eid’s first three days are observed on a magnificent manner.
