25 December Christmas Day – true worldwide celebration. No country is there across the globe where Christmas or Christmas Day is not celebrated. Well, this does not denote that the same land is infested by a sizable Christian population. On the contrary, it does denote that the saga of Christmas and its celebration is not confined within the Christians only but has become a universal chronicle by now. Nevertheless, as usual, it is dominated by Christians who on December 25 observe a holiday so as to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the greatest, central and most noble figure of Christianity. Well, controversies still go on with regarded to the actual date of the Prophet’s birth and a number of Christian schools of thoughts have their own beliefs, calendars and celebrate Christmas depending on those. Whatever it is, December 25 is the worldwide acclaimed day for Christmas and is observed with reverence and splendor.

It must be taken into account that Christmas happens to be central to the entire saga of Christianity and marks the commencement of the larger season of Christmastide, continuing for the following twelve days. There is another significant feature of Christianity; it does not consist of post-Christ religious dictums only. Christmas is now a festival of all and is not only confined to Christians. The major reason behind this is that mainly the schools are run by Catholics and are English medium and hence they support this concept of jingle bells and Christmas tree. This festival fills every heart and mind with happiness and love and joy. This is a festival, which helps people in expressing their feeling of love and gratitude towards their near and dear ones through gifts.

Christmas is one of those festivals which is celebrated by everyone irrespective of religion.. This festival is celebrated with most of joy and happiness among the kids..
I remember even we use to wait for Santa to come and distribute gifts. Christmas Songs are among the first rhymes that we learnt in our lives and will never forget them..
We use to have White Christmas once i.e. Snowy Christmas but due to human activities we have Blue Christmas now... It does not even snow in shimla on 25th Dec now
 
chirtmas is now very well celebrated in india too. it is now not only confined to christians, but all kinds of people here in india celebrate it with utmost joy. it is a festival of happiness and love which is celebrated calmly, people meeting everyone and sharing joy. it is the festival without much religion being dragged into it and its more of sharing love and joy and so it is catching attention of many people around the world.
