Zen has launched new Smartphone Ultraphone U1, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,999/-. It is a dual Sim phone and runs on Android 2.3 and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. The phone features a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash. The phone comes with a 3.5 inch HVGA (480x320 pixel) capacitive touchscreen. The phone comes with good looks but is not sturdy enough as it comes with a plastic casing. The phone has an internal memory of 512 MB , which is expandable upto 16 GB using micro SD card. The phone has connectivity options like GPRS/EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth. The phone seems quite good but misses out on 3G connectivity and GPS. Seeing the price tag and other features, the phone is quite affordable and looks good.

Zen has a problem with its battery life. Most of its mobile phones are durable but the battery life is very short. Don't really know how far this smartphone of zen's could work well with the existent battery, but i believe users will have to replace the batteries soon enough to get this gadget working. Moreover the material which it is made up of isn't great. But then it does offer you a lot of variety for the decent price you pay. Has anyone used it yet?
