Jose Mujica, the president of Uruguay is the world's poorest president. He lives in his wife's farmhouse giving away the luxuries provided by the Uruguayan government. He donates 90% of his monthly salary to charity , i.e about $12000 which has made him the poorest president in the world. In 2010, his annual personal wealth declaration was $1800 which is about the value of a 1987 Volkswagen Beetle he owns. Don't you think other presidents should also learn from him and stop longing for austerity?
