In May 1999, Captain Kalia and five other soldiers were on patrol duty in Kaksar area of Kargil when they were caught by the Pak army, kept in captivity for over 22 days and subjected to brutal torture. Parts of their body were burnt with cigarettes, eyes were gorged out, teeth and bones were broken and various limbs and private organs of these soldiers were chopped off. For 13 years now, Dr NK K alia, the father of Kargil martyr Captain Kalia has been asking the govt to go to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to expose the "torture" and exert pressure on Pakistan to apologize, identify and punish those responsible as per Geneva Convention. He has now knocked the doors of the Supreme Court. Reacting to the reports, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said Do this congress Government has any guts to take on Pakistan? what do you Proud Indians think ?
