Alike the childhood it is believed that old age also is a tender age, when a person again becomes like a small child. In an old age the behaviour and attitude of an old person becomes highly sensitive and moody like as of a child. Thus it means that in the old age a person needs some extra care and attention from the rest of the family members but see the what happens in the real lives is exactly the opposite to it. Recent survey reports state that the number of old age homes and the strength of old people being admitted to those is increasing day by day. This is quite shocking to know about a country like India because our country has been a symbol of unity, harmony and a family has been its one of the cornerstone. We have always believed in family values, giving regards to elders and taking care of them in their old age. But when such statistics come out it leaves me completely surprised. I wonder why it has become so tough for the youth to take care of their old parents, why the youth perceive their old parents as a bundle of burden. The parents who have given every bit of their sweat to the upbringing of their children, those children only want to throw them out of the homes! It’s really sad and shameful, no one can replace the parents and nor can anyone repay to their efforts they had made for the children. Respect your parents, love them take care of them in their old age; it is when they need you the most. Throwing them out and keep them in old age homes is very easy but to love them is the easiest, believe me.
