What are the reasons that government is unable to take againt Naxalists?.. why are cops afraid of them?
What really does the government want? A more appropriate question would be whether the government really wants to deal with naxalism or drag the issue till it becomes insurmountable? The naxalites are local groups and the citizens of our own country but that does not mean we should be soft on them. The things they do are similar to the Taliban. Moreover political parties take advantage of these groups and safeguard them
Political games Some political parties do support naxalism. They tell that these are our own people and they are doing the killings because they have been forced to. It’s a coalition government that we are governed by and so the centre does have all the powers. Busting the naxals would mean political outbursts and strikes which would just aggravate the problem. But it’s time we take some risk.
Why government is unable to take any step against Naxalites First Indian government was unable to stop attacks from terrorist from other parts of the world, and now they are unable to handle the crisis of Naxalites. It seems government does not want to cure these problems; rather they want to nurture them and use them according to their needs. Whatever is wrong is wrong, be it our side or outside, the punishment should not vary, as both are causing harm to innocent common people and spoiling the image of the country.
Perhaps people have sympathy for naxalites. They agree to some of their views, They also have anger against the Government for wrong policies, corruption, castism and so many things. Some people may be feeling naxalites are better than politicians- third rate cheeters in India.
Naxalism In India: Naxalism born out of Sino-Soviet split in Indian-Communist-Movement. Initially Indian nasal movement had its centre in West-Bengal. They then spread to less developed parts of rural eastern and central India like Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh through underground groups' activities like Communist Party of India.
Naxalism is a biggest threat to India and researches says that there are about 170 districts in 15 states of India where Naxalites are present. Government seems not to be very interested in addressing the issues of Naxalism which is spreading like wild fire in India. It is seen that many political parties are in support of these Naxalites and perhaps for this reason the Government is neglecting the major issue.
