White Chicken Recipe - How to make White Chicken ?

    There are several chicken recipes available on the Web, which one can use to make various dishes. This is a very easy-to-cook chicken recipe, which I am very sure everyone is going to like.

    Ingredients required



    1. Chicken (1 kg)
    2. Onion (1/2 kg)
    3. Nigella Sativa (kalonji or black cumin)
    4. Ghee (5 tbs)
    5. Fresh Cream (100 gm)
    6. Salt (to taste)
    7. Curd (50 gm)
    8. Green Chilies (for garnishing)

    Procedure

    Cut the chicken pieces into medium size so that it is not too big or too small. Then marinate the chicken with curd and kalongi (Nigella sativa/ black cumin) for about an hour, its better if kept overnight. Onion is required just half the quantity of chicken that you will be making, i.e. ½ kg for 1 kg Chicken and 250 grams from ½ kg chicken. Cut the onions into thin and long slices. After you have cut the onions, heat the frying pan or the kadhai. When properly heated, put 5 table spoons of ghee into it and let it heat properly. Once done put a little i.e. 2 pinches of sugar into the ghee and wait till it is caramelized. Once the color of the sugar changes to brown, put the slices of onion into the pan. Simmer the flame and fry the onion until golden brown. After that take out the pieces of chicken from the mixuter which you used for marinating it and put it on the pan and fry well with the onion. Once you see that the water that is released from the marinated chicken has dried and has started releasing oil, pour the marination into it and mix well. Fry again in the same way and add salt to it as per taste. Once the whole content dries up, check if the chicken is cooked uniformly and after that, pour a little water to it and cover the pan with a lid for the chicken and the other ingredients to cook and mix well for 5-7 minutes. Remove the lid and add a little more water to it (preferably hot water). Cook it for another 5 minutes and add fresh cream to thicken the gravy and add whiteness to it. Cook the chicken on high flame for about 4-5 minutes and remove the pan from the flame. Garnish the chicken with green chilies by cutting then into long and sleek pieces.

    White Chicken is now ready to be served. You can serve it with parathas, chapattis, rumali rotis and naan and as it is not a dish that has sufficient gravy, it does not complement rice items.
