Patriotism is considered as the noblest of all sentiments. What makes the love towards country different from other forms of love is its social nature. Love between parents and children, friends, couples are quite familiar to us, since we pass through this in our everyday life. These forms of love especially between near and dear form bonds which give hopes for an individual which fuels his urge to live. Such a true love can be for love sake only or without expecting anything in return.Is patriotism dead in India ?

My India.

I love my country. She is my mother. My India cannot ever be wrong. India is always right, was right and will also be always right. People of India are also always right, may be the politicians can be ( and most probably always) wrong. :)

PATRIOTISM is something really GREAT which cannot be described in words at all,it is something more than that.Patriotism never die it only needs provocation.
 
Patriotism is feeling that comes in oneself when one hears anything about india be it anything but if you develop an empathetic feeling you are a patriot . The feeling that makes you distinct from others, cheering for every indian , wishing/ hoping for the best for any indian in international scene....that's patriotism if this is there every other duty follows suit.

Patriotism is not yet dead ,but i would say is in the path of ...
 
Patriotism is a great feeling of belongingness to the greatest nation ''INDIA'' It is that strength which brings the nation together to fight for the nation !

Patriotism will never be dead bcuz patriotism lies in the word 'INDIA' itself and i will never let it die till my last breath !

Patriotism is just a passion of love and respect to nation and its citizens and patriotism aims to strengthen this bond of love through targeted efforts of patriots towards growth and development of its citizens by peaceful means.No, it hasn't died and will not die :)
 
Patriotism means to me to stand firm for what your country stands for, I strongly support my Motherland!

Patriotism is a deep feeling of pride & love one has for his or her nation, best felt than explained. It is important because it helps the citizens of one country live together as brothers and sisters and plays a major role in maintaining peace and harmony.

The very facts that make Patriotism different are that there are expectations in return. Unlike other forms of love, where the individual form an epicenter encircled by group of friends and relatives patriotism is supposed to web within geo-social boundary. Individuals love the national community and express the love in the form of fulfillment of his or her civic responsibilities. The Nation returns the love in the form of civilian rights. There is an agent between the individual and Nation which makes patriotism fruitful, i.e Governmental machinery. Perhaps this is one of the cases where an external agent is required between two partners of lovers.
 
patriotism in not only that you sacrifice something for the country. let us say the person are not only patriotic, who are fighting and sacrificing for their country (of course they are) . There can be many other patriotic person who are not in condition to sacrifice for country but they are honest toward their nation, they love their countrymen, they pray for the country, and they don't want to see their country down. Patriotism comes from core of the heart, does not matter if you are able to do something or not. for example, if you are working or studying in foreign lets say America and a white guy ask from you ; which country are you from? and you proudly reply that I am from India. If the guy piss off you by saying that India!!!! oh common mate, lot of poor people in India, lot of population etc. etc. and you replied vigorously by saying that tell me brother how many country in this world are perfect? how many country in this world are dependent? even America has lot of poor people, America has lot of unemployed people, crime rate in America is more than India. By replying that Although, India has some drawback including poverty, corruption, overpopulation, look India contribution to space, science, entertainment, education and Indian contribution to America and other world etc, etc, in regard of our problems, we are working on these problems and ratio of these predicament are decreasing. This can be great example of patriotism, instead, i think.
 
Lets awaken the sleeping nationalism

Patriotism can never die. It’s only sleeping in the subconscious minds of millions of Indians. It needs to be awakened. Media, leaders and the intellectuals of our country have to play the major role. They must have to devote their time for the sake of the nation.

If we can inspire at least one popular news channel to devote at least 30 mints in the prime time for spreading nationalism, it will be enough.

If the channels don’t show any interest, then the only option will be to buy that slot and show our own programmme to awaken nationalism.
 
Patriotism- Alive now and always

Love for one's own country can be defined as patriotism.

Ofcourse the love for mother nation resides in the heart of every Indian. It is just that the expression is different now.
 
Loving ourselves in a broader sense

Patriotism is the love for the country. We love ourselves and if we can expand its periphery to the country and love our nation equally or more than that patriotism attains perfection. As we can't do anything without loving ourselves, our country also can't progress without patriotism.
 
The expression of patriotism should be in a constructive way.

Hitler was also a patriot. But he was destructive in nature. So, the patriotism should be expressed keeping in mind the welfare of the country and the national interest.
 
Patriotism is a word used by those in power for their own benefit to mobilise simple minded people and get them to do things they wouldnt otherwise do. And unfortunately it works
 
An old man was planting a sapling in his garden. Another man saw it and told him as to why he is taking trouble as the tree will not give any fruits during his life time. The old man said, dear friend, if all are selfish like you how the world will improve and how the next generation will survive. In the same way, if the people fought for the independence of India had thought like this selfish gentleman, we would not have got independence. This is called Patriotism.

Not yet and won't be in the near future. I can proudly say that the Patriotism of our common man is much more stronger than those who make tall talks. This was observed when the people contributed for the war expenses when we were attacked by Pakistan.The spirit of Patriotism is still burning in every citizens heart.
 
patriotism is not Just to fight for our country and then going to die for our country, because every one fight for own, but to remain alive till you would not get your right to live independently for your nation, so that you could serve your country, by any motion or movement.

no, not at all. patriotism can never die in India, This feel is always remains in Our Indian Blood.
 
According to me Patriotism is passion for motherland, for its people and their all round development.

No Patriotism isn't yet Dead, but unfortunately it is not one of the dominant feeling
 
According to me patriotism is a feeling which exists in almost every man which leads him to do a thing that would make his country proud that would be able to earn a recognition for the country universally and which gives him the courage to abolish the injustice,faulty methods and anti social things to make the nation flawless and thus make it stand on the top of the world.

Patriotism Dead ?

I am actually confused at this question because at times i feel nothing is left but moments later I feel there is so much of it that it can never die.So patriotism in India is present in every individual but it is closely concealed and is waiting for a right opportunity to come out.
