Copyright is a type of intellectual property which guarantees protection under law to the unique work of authorship in all fields which encompasses within itself all the literary work, computer programs, tables and compilations, dramatic, musical and artistic works, cinematographic films and sound recordings etc. Copyright Act, 1957 administers the method of copyrights in India.
