A womb is a female reproductive organ where the baby lives till it takes birth or gets delivered. This is a safe place for the baby and it stays here for nine months. It is the embryo in which the baby develops and egg once left the ovary usually goes down the fallopians tube directly to the womb. It resides there until it gets fertilized by male sperms. in case the eggs are not fertilized it's passed-out the body at the time of your mensuration as well as new eggs travel down to your womb as well as waits as prior to be fertilized.

I do not have much knowledge about womb but as far as I know it is definitely a reproductive organ or you can say a home of a baby until 9 months or the till the time of delivery. Womb is the place where infant resides and grow in to a complete baby in nine months. It is surrounded by the gel or liquid inside the belly and protect the baby against any harm.
