There has been many instances that has proved that Indian media is biased and are not fair. Indian Media has been given the freedom of speech and expression by the Indian Constitution but they are misusing the power conferred to them. Media today works for money and provides news that are not always true and real. They present it in a way that favors the political party which has paid them money. In India, we do have free media but I don't really think that we have fair media. What are your views?
I agree with you that we have free media but not fair media. Media which is the 4th pillar of democracy should work independently and should not come under any political influence. However, Indian media is highly influenced by the politicians and they provide news in favour of them and not genuine news to create awareness among the masses. Indian media is free to provide news that are true and real but it has been seen that they manipulate the news and provide information that are in favour of one or the other. We need fair media if we want our nation to progress.
Definitely, Indian media is indeed not fair. Although the duty of media is to create awareness among the masses, Indian media instead of creating awareness by showing news that are real, they intend to manipulate news. This is what makes Indian media unfair and biased. Indian media is free but it is in no way fair, atleast not in the present time.
Media is the mirror for the society as well as of the society. However, Indian media has lost its track and have forgotten the actual responsibility entrusted upon them. Today, Indian media acts very irresponsibly as well as they have become biased. Moreover, Indian media has turned out to be more of a money-making business. I agree that today Indian Media is free but not fair as they do not always show the actual reality.
