This is the story of Dr Sanjukta Parashar, who has become the first lady IPS officer in the north-eastern state of Assam. She scored an amazing 85th All India rank in the UPSC examinations. After securing Rank ,Most women would go on to become an IAS, but this lady had different plans in her mind.
She choose to walk the path less traveled.

Within two hours of her joining as Assistant Commandant of Makum in 2008, she was told to move to Udalguri where clashes between the Bodo and illegal migrants from Bangladeshis had broken out. There she realized how one could lose everything in a fraction of a second, simply on account of being born to a particular community.
She successfully Managed to control the Mob and brought situation under her control.

Sanjukta Parashar wants to change the outlook of the police force. Usually, more than the criminals, it is the common man who is more scared of the police. However, Parashar wants only the criminals to be scared of her. Parashar is constantly working to make the relationship between the common man and police better. She is currently the District SP of Jorhat.

She is truly an inspiration and the country needs more people like her. When the crime against woman are increasing everyday, many more Sanjukta Parashars would be needed in the future.

We thank her for giving this society a hope.
