Recently, two girls were arrested over a Facebook post about Balasaheb Thackery where one of them posted a post protesting against Mumbai Bandh on his death and the other for commenting on the post in support of it. The arrest was not the end, even the hospital of the girl's uncle was attacked. This act of the Police as well as the Politicians was justified just by saying that they have violated the "freedom of expression and speech" by posting such thing against the great leader. However, in my view, the arrest of the girls and attack on the hospital cannot be justified. I agree that this is not an absolute right but this could have been solved peacefully and without any violence.

What do you think? Was the arrest of the two girls over a Facebook post about Balasaheb Thackeray justified?

The whole act of arresting the two girls and attacking the hospital of the girl's uncle cannot be justified. They were arrested for posting on Facebook protesting against Mumbai Bandh on the death of Balasaheb Thackrey and they have not commented anything wrong about the person and just a protest on social media network should not have been made an issue. This act on the part of Maharashtra Government cannot be justified under any ground.

I don't think that the arrest of the two girls over a Facebook post about Balasaheb Thackeray is justified. It is a sad thing that although our Constitution gives us the freedom of expression and speech but unfortunately we are not allowed to exercise our freedom and rights and this is because of lack of proper implementation and interpretation of laws of our nation.
