Right now I am using wired router given by MTNL. I am thinking of switching to a Wireless modem again rented from MTNL. What will be the charges and procedure for that. Which model of the router is provided by them? Is that model good? Do i have to pay only the difference of the deposit or the whole thing again?
hi hi there .. dont get the router provided by them , buy new from shop and go for dlink that company is best.
well i dunno about the MTNL but BSNL is providing wireless modem which can be upgraded from the wired router. i think charges are pretty fair.. they charge about 1400 INR for purchase of the modem and you get a permanent connection which is as good as wired router and best suited if you use a laptop.
the best service i would suggest is BSNL which is quite economic and gives good speed. however if you are looking for a complete wireless rather than WI FI, TATA photon and Reliance offer wireless USB internet service which can be accessed anywhere with great speeds and uninterrupted service.
MTNL charges are not that high in comparison to other broadband and wireless services. You simply need a phone connection and just need to pay monthly rental of 750 rs or something depending up on your plan. MTNL usually does not create any problem to their customers but still server down problem is bit occasional.
well i think wired modems are faster in providing connectivity than the wireless ones. so if you are looking out for faster connectivity i would say stay back with the wired connection. however if you want mobility and easy access from remote place, you can go for wireless modem.. i guess it should cost around 1300 odd..
Wireless connections are provided by many brands these days and wireless connections are always better as you do not have to plug in or insert any port in your computer. This usually gives problem in the cord and need to change the cord so often. Wireless connection of MTNL and BSNL are quite good and one can choose them without giving a second thought!
Considering the current lifestyle and trends, many of us would want to shift to wireless internet because of the portability it offers. This would require either the change of wired modem to a wireless modem, else you can go for USB internet sticks which offer decent speeds and with these you can almost access internet from anywhere. Reliance netconnect is one such USB which you can get for a rent of about 400 rs per month which offers a speed of about 15-25 kbps.
Wireless is indeed the best and the cheap way to use internet. When you want to use net at home on daily basis then it is always advisable to use the wireless a it can be connected to various laptops. MTNL wireless is the best available in the market and has a good customer care service as well.
Well, these days one can find both MTNL and BSNL offering wireless service if one wants to switch over to it. However if you wish to go for faster wireless service, you should think of switching over to TATA, Reliance or Airtel. All three of them offer decent connectivity. Just choose the plan which best suits you.
