Mostly the negative effects of video games can be attributed to the amount of violence they comprise in order to gain popularity among children. Infact most of the games today are designed in a certain way that has the possibility of stimulating aggressiveness in children, asking them often to kill more and earn better points that way. There are games that implicitly influence children to enjoy bloodshed and rejoice about murders and popularity wise, the more aggressive a player is, and the better his position would be. Games like Resident Evil, Manhunt, Madworld, Thrill Kill are some of the trending games that show violence. I think these will affect pro-social behavior of children and may develop anti-behavioral attributes.
