A lot has been said and heard about the attacks on Indian students in Australia. However, the views of the immigrant community seem to differ. so, far they have preferred to stay mum on the burning issue. They feel that they have been living in Australia. The students invite attacks on themselves as they are uncomfortable or confused with their identity. The above view is quite alarming given the status of attacks on Indian students!!!
Even I was wondering why the Indians holding the permanent residency status have remained quite so far.... now the reason behind the same seems to be more than clear.....
It needs two hands to clap According to the well settled Indian communities in Australia, the racial attacks are instigated by the victim itself. They say that while they have a quiet living, it is the confused ‘new comers’ that call upon trouble. But what I would like to question is that even if the students are facing problems initially, do they need to get attacked for it, which is even getting fatal sometimes?
