The parenting process in Indian is highly gender biased. The girl and the boys are treated unequally since their childhood as they are brought up in a two different atmospheres in a same home. It's been a series of parenting that has succeeded from the lineages where the children are brought up in gender biases. Since the childhood the boys are supposed to be strong and tough hence they are encouraged to be involved in more of physical activities. They are supposed to play outside the homes and in parks, they are told to play masculine games like cricket, basketball, football and others whereas girls since the childhood are treated as tender and too much polite, they are taught to behave well in manners and encouraged to get involved in indoor activities like playing with dolls, learn cooking, stitching, hand weaving, handicrafts and others. Girls are taught to be feminine right from an early stage and where the boys are made to believe that they are rough and tough and they have to do many big things for their family in the long run. Education is supposed to be a very important aspect only for the boys, that is why boys are always found to be scolded by the parents to study harder and efficiently while the education for a girl is taken for little granted, if she studies well its fine and id she does not that would also be acceptable because she is asserted to take care of the family and the children in her future, which also does not require any educational qualifications. But why there is a need to be so much gender biased in the upbringing of the small children? In fact this gender bias only are the top reasons of creating so many 'discrimination' in the minds of the boys and girls at the later stage of their life. Since the boys already have been given so much of importance in comparison to the girls then why they would be willing to share this importance with the girls in their future? The boys are already treated like kings since their childhood and girls as the housekeepers then how could one expect a sudden change in the male dominated ideology and authority over women? Actually it is the foundation of the system that has so many flaws. Do you agree with this?
