In the recent few years the Indian youth has completely become fascinated and fond of junk food! It's now all about the cravings and satisfying the taste buds! Features like nutritional value of the food, right calorie intake, fat consumption, are now hardly been considered by the youth rather they seem to be more interested in the new stall/corner of the fast food that has recently been opened nearer to their school/college/market place. The youth finds the junk food so much tempting and easily approachable that paying 50-150 rupees for a plate of junk at a time, rarely matters to them. Junk food absolutely meant for the taste buds that is inadequate in nutrients and healthy elements. In fact there a number of people among the Indian youth who are facing the after effects of consuming much of junk food on a daily basis. Obesity, colitis, intestinal infections and many other infections related to the digestive system are a few of the major problems that the Indian youth has to suffer due to the high consumption of junk. Youngster especially those who go to school/college usually preferring to eat in the cafeteria or from the food corners outside the school premises. They just don’t want to carry their home-made tiffins.

This situation has also become worrisome for the Parents, they get upset when they feel unable to counsel their young and adult children with regard to the intake of the right food. The youth has to somewhere realize the relevance of eating the right food in their lives, they should make appropriate choices, eating the fast food once in a while is feasible but to completely switch over to the junk is just so disadvantageous. The junk cannot replace the essential elements and healthy nutrients of good food comprised of grains, pulses, fresh vegetable, fruits and flour. The youth should improve their eating habit. Food is an essential element for the growth and development of the human body thus it must not be compromised in any way just for the sake of taste buds. What do you think about this?
