Aryabhatta was born in Magadha near Patliputra, the modern patna located in Bihar. His Period was from 476 till 550 A.D. Lots of peopel think that he was born and bought up in kerala, south india but he lived in the city of patliputra called Magadha during the Gupta rulers time that is called as Golden age of India. Aryabhatta was known as the indian mathematician. He already knew that earth spins and on its axis, it moves round the sun as well as moon rotates around the earth. He knew the history of the Sun and Moon as well as Stars very well. He also knew that moon does not have its own light and the reflection of Sun gives the moon its light.
