In the last few years there have been many cases recorded in India of suicides due to depression. According to a few of the reports there are three suicides complaints recorded in every fifteen minutes in India. South India has the highest rate of suicide cases. The individuals committing suicides are between 15-30 years. The youth of India seems to be highly impacted by depression issues in their day to day lives. There is a much of pressure over them which they find very crucial to bear. Study pressure, peer pressure, workload, relationship issues, hopelessness, agitation is greatly found in the youth that make them restless and agonized. Depression is spreading like a common flu in the youth.

The major reason behind the increase in depression issues among the youth is that they are not initially ready to accept that they are suffering from depression. And in fact the people of the society also do not perceive it as a mental illness because they only believe in the illnesses which are visible and can be treated directly with medicines. Depression is a mental illness that should be recognized and treated properly. Parents and family play an important role in helping the adults and teenagers in discussing their problems without hesitation. Parents should listen to them with an open mind.

Anyone could be suffering from depression because the life is truly becoming so much stressful. It is little difficult to balance the peace of mind and yet continue to work well. Youth is the dynamic section of the country thus their issues must be dealt with care and attention. This depression is leading the youth to the dark and the opposite side of the life, let there be harmony and peace in the youth, let them be free from anxieties and stress.
