Buddha was born in 563 BC as a prince and left his palace at 29 in search of truth. At the age of 35 he attained enlightenment at Gaya in Magadha. His first sermon was delivered at Sarnath. This sermon is called the turning of the wheel of law.
With the advent of buddha the buddha literature also got hyped and the Buddhist Literature includes: Buddhist literature is mainly written in Pali language. There are three main texts: • Vinaya Pitaka which deals with discipline in monasteries • Sutta Pitaka which is a collection of Buddha’s sermons • Abhidhamma Pitaka which explains the principles of philosophy in Buddhist religion.
