Just heard the news that the state of Andhra Pradesh, would be divided in two states Telangana and the Andhra state. Its so funny that one man starts fast to death and his wish has be granted in no time.
Compromise, Compromise I think Even compromise also has some limit.

Telangana issue , state , AP , Telangana Vs Andhra pradesh , new state , issue , Telangana forum , telangana forums , Andhra Forums

sad to hear this from many people.....

im feeling very sad to hear this from many people. i would like to tell every one that this is not kcr's demand to form a seperate state..... his agitation was supported by students of ou and ku. lawyers of telangana regions stopped going to work in support of a seperate telangana state. all the governament employees stopped thier work in support of a seperate telangana state. many police men stated giving resignations.... in an all party meeting held by govt of ap, all parties agreed to support the bill, if seperate telangana state resolution was launched in the assembly..... CONGRESS HAD PROMISED TELANGANA PEOPLE THAT THEY WILL GIVE A SEPERATE STATE IN 2004 ELECTIONS. TAKING ALL THIS THINGS INTO CONSIDERATION SONIA GANDHI JI HAS GIVEN A GREEN SIGNAL FOR SEPERATE TELANGANA STATE. BUT NOT JUST BECAUSE KCR HAS STARTED FAST TO DEATH

TELANGANA ISSUE IS DEAD LONG BACK ……when KCR didn’t get any ministry in CBN’s government he started TRS and woke the dead Telangana issue. intially it had popularity just like PRP at the beginning. As soon as YSR did some good for telengana people they started forgetting TRS. by 2009 they were left with only 4% votes ONLY. INFACT TELENGANA PEOPLE KNOWS YSR IS HARDCORE SAMAIKYAVADI. EVEN THEN HE GOT MOST SEATS IN TELENGANA. . does it ring any bells in your mind ????

Even now most people in telengana doesn’t want to get seperated. only few handful people who are misguided are asking for it. Not every student is asking for it. only the hostelers from OSMANIA university are inspired by JAC for this agitation.

And ofcourse i personally know JAC is inspired by the money given by Harish rao , Kodanda ram and chakrapani.

Don’t believe that all telengana people are in favor of Separate state.

some kashmir terrorists wanted Kashmir to be independent country and that demand is longer than This Telangana issue. Let’s support that too.
As per the history Nizam doesn’t wanted hyderabad territory to be united with india. he wanted to go with pakistan . let’s give hyderabad to pakistan.

and before british rule india is not there . There were clusters of many many countries. British brought all these countries under their rule and made one country. many people also been suppressed then. Since british gave us independence let us all divide into small countries like before .
and Nagaland to china and what else ????

Grow up you teLANGAna fools. lots of small states came in BJP government . Not one of them are happy now. Everybody is in crisis which they cannot recover in next 20 years.
Russia is topmost country competing with USA before 90’s. It separated now they have become beggars.
Girls of separated Russia are doing prostitution for food in other countries like India , thailand.
DO YOU WANT THIS HAPPEN TO YOU PEOPLE ??? Do your want your wives and sisters do that thing for money ???

Jinna Role played by chindabharam and pillayi in dividing telugu people

AP is in good position and submitted lack crore budget. AP and Hyderabad city growing faster and competating Chennai and baglore is south india. This is not able to digested by chindabharam and pillayi, they want to tamil nadu and Chennai in graet postion in south India, we encourage if they developed under healthy atmosphere and with competition. But we are not ready to encourage by suppressing and splitting other states in south India.

“separation of telagana will be intiated” the announcement of this statement don’t know even AP CM even he visited delhi and returned back just before the announcement. But this announcement is know one day before KCR, intelligence chief meet KCR and taken singnature from him the day before. From starting day onwards chindabharam is showing very enthusiasiam and misutilising his powers and sending intelligence teams for making success in splitting of AP in unparlimentary way. KCR is a tool in this terroroitic plan of chindabharam by raising regional imbalance slogan and playing the with the feelings and emotions of all telugu people and more over citizens of india.

out of cores of o people, only some hundred people coming on the road, how it mean that all the people want this separation?. Always elections are representing the true view and feelings of every citizen, right from milliner to poor .

Recent assembly and greater Hyderabad elections showing that there is no sentiment of separation in AP and every citizen has participated in this elections and voted as per our constitution and in a parliamentary way.

KCR - one more fool who instead of trying to do some good for the people of Andhra is trying to break it up. How many more divisions of Mother India should we bear in the name of language and caste?

Parsis are a minority, should they be given a separate state too?
Muslims are a minority, should they also be given a separate Muslim state?

These politician fools are taking India back to the British Raj by copying British policy of "Divide & Rule".

One recent example is that of Madhu Koda. From a labourer to a CM, he is believed to have laundered money worth over Rs. 4000 crores by being the CM.

This incidents make me think, where we are heading? Not in a very positive direction I guess. Damn with these people!

New slogan for Development - "Divide and Rule"

In my opinion, the forum name is wrong.
We are no more Indians to be proud of. Let us think We are Andhraites, Telenganites, Kannadigas, Marathas, Bengalis etc.. But no more indians.

As far as I know, Here are the some of the concerns and solutions proposed for the new state of Telengana. After understanding the proposed solutions thoroughly, many new concerns and solutions suddenly arose in my mind: :)

1) Being part of AP, Telengana remained as a under development region. More Funds, industrialization and development happened in other regions.
new concern: Being part of India, AP or other states like Jharkand, Chattisgarh remained as under development regions. More central funds, industrialization, development happened in other regions like TN, Gujarat. For example, how many IT industries were moved to chennai from hyderabad when TN person was central minister.

2) More state employment in Telengana area is provided to other regions.
New: How many central govt. jobs, Private Jobs in AP were given to other state people?

3)Not many state leaders(CMs) from Telengana.
New: How many PMs were there from South India who ruled for 5 years? (Only one..)

If we keep on telling, we can have lot more issues comparable to issues of India.
For all the above concerns, small states and dividing the state is the only solution, let us start movements for dividing the country also into number of small countries so that development is very fast and every one can become so rich so fast :)

I hear some people saying that the Telengana movement is genuine because the movement exists for more than 50 Years. I never realized before that movements can become genuine with just matter of time. If that is the case, for all the above reasons let us start movements for dividing the country so that atleast after 50 years, our next generations can say that country can be divided because the movement existed for more than 50 years.

Racism, in other words, differentiating from person to person, can be provoked by many aspects like caste, religion, region, economic status etc..

Remember the fact, that racism due to regionality is the world's biggest problem today and not any other aspect. World wars didn't happen because of caste or religion. But because of nationality. People who identify themselves as Americans fought with people identified as japanese in world war 2. What are the reasons for Russia and America's cold war? India and pakistan are not fighting for religion for so many years. They are fighting on kashmir because both are two different countries. Forget about other countries in the world, Just think about states of our country.
Why did people of Karnataka and Tamilnadu fought for kaveri water? Just because they are two different States. Why was people of other states were beaten and killed in Maharashtra? Provoking one's mind based on regional racism and creating divisions among themselves is very easy to do, but uniting every person is difficult. Creating one more state today is nothing other than creating one more aspect for the people to fight. Making people of tommorrow to fight.

Unless all human beings are united, many cold wars and world wars are yet to happen.

If the humanity reaches the peak point of regional racism, then no other peaceful solution persists except world war. Just to avoid this regional racism, United nations has been formed to create a compromising environment between countries.

We, educated fools participating in many internet forums, provoked by the statements of wrong politicians take the humanity to that peak point of racism in no more time. Think before we act. Think before we provoke and get provoked. Aren't we intelligent enough to think? Isn't our education good enough to make us intelligent?

India is always a country with diversified cultures, languages, religions and bringing unity among such diversified aspects of people is always like a ride on the tiger. If political party in power works for unity, the other political party provoke people to fight based on caste, religion and region. This is what is happening in this independent India for more than 50 years. If not, India would have been most peaceful country in the world.

Let us re-think what Independent India has acheived in 60 years:
Unaware, uneducated people who can't think about what is wrong/right and become pawns in the hands of politicians, who are provoked to do anything by politicans.
Naxalism, Terrorism, Maoism and etc.. etc.. isms,
Educated fools, racists who are holding Ph.Ds, PGs, Degrees from world's top universities who are helpless in the development of the country and flew away from the country for many reasons.
Corrupted Politicians who don't care about countries development and just want power, who feel insecure without power.
Crores of patriotists who can do nothing beyond saying that India has very great history.

My sincere request to everyone is to atleast at this moment throw the unawareness of our minds. Bring light into humanity. Work and fight towards bringing unity in the humanity. Don't think this regional racism as a problem of one state or one country. This is the biggest problem against the humanity of entire world today. Condemn all sorts of division of humanity. There was no time in the history of humanity, division has brought peace and development. Germany lost its pride as a superpower after the division into East and West Germany. Were India and pakistan in peace after the division? Think bigger and broader in all the aspects you can think of. Then decide and educate others. If the racism between states, countries is not settled, even the developed countries of the today's world are going to become burial grounds of tommorrow. Without settling these racist feelings, even the developed countries of today are progressing towards cremation, rather than development. These feelings are making the entire world to go towards world war and not towards peace.

Try all your ways and bring awareness in every human being about the need of unity and don't support any means of division at this moment when the entire world is in need of unity of humanity.

Unite the States...Unite the country... Unite the world...

to through some more light on this issue lets have a look over this article

There can be no Telangana without Hyderabad

The five-decade-long agitation for a separate Telangana state may be bearing fruit with the announcement on Wednesday night by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram [ Images ] that the process for forming the new state would begin.

Dr K Jayashankar, former vice-chancellor of Kakatiya University, Warangal, has been in the thick of the agitation for several years now. He has written several articles and books on why Telangana is important. Fondly known as the father (pita maha) of the movement, Dr Jayashankar says that the government has made a commitment and he hoped they would stick to it.

This is entirely created. Everyone knows that once Telangana is formed, it would have Hyderabad as its capital. A lot of people in power want to retain Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh due to a comfort zone that they are in. Most of these people are involved with realtors and they will benefit.

What do you have to say about the split in the Congress over this issue. Nearly 50 MLAs have already resigned?

These MLAs have always opposed the formation of the state for their vested interests. If they are resigning and the party is splitting then it is their headache. These are the persons who have ensured the delay and Telangana had always faced a roadblock due to resistance from other regions. It is time they realise the misery of the people and give us our state.

What will happen if the government refuses to part with Hyderabad?

There will be civil war.

so what is the solution now?

The five-decade-long agitation for a separate Telangana [ Images ] state may be bearing fruit with the announcement on Wednesday night by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram [ Images ] that the process for forming the new state would begin.

In this interview with rediff.com's Vicky Nanjappa, Dr Jayashankar explains why it is important that Hyderabad becomes the capital of the new state and why the demand to make it a Union Territory should be dropped immediately.

What are your first reactions to the decision of the Union government?

Obviously I am happy. It is a long-standing dream and it seems to be coming true today. I would not call it the end of the matter, but it is the beginning. The process has commenced and there is still some time to go before it becomes a complete reality.

At any point do you feel that the Union government may backtrack on its decision? Do you think this was a tactic to ease the tension prevailing in the state?

It is clear that they have made a commitment. The process is underway and we trust it. This has been a long struggle and we hope that the government will not backtrack. When the home minister of the country makes an announcement, we trust it.

What if the government goes back on its decision? The ball is now in the court of the AP government which does not seem too enthusiastic about the formation of Telangana.

As I said earlier, we trust the decision of the Union government. If at any point of time, they backtrack we will not take it lying down. We have plans to ensure that the government does not backtrack.

There have been violent protests in the past. What makes this one unique and why do you think the government gave in this time?

Yes, there has been a long history to this movement. Moreover if you notice this time around the movement was more people based. The political parties had a very small role to play. There were students and the common man who had come out in the streets and made the demand. I would call this the final struggle and the unique thing was that everyone was in the movement this time. This made the difference. It was in this backdrop that the government decided to take action and give in to our demands.

You have written an extensive paper on this issue. What according to you are the main grievances of the people of Telangana?

Irrigation is one of the major grievances. A raw deal was meted out to the region regarding the allocation and utilisation of river waters. Telangana is encircled by two major rivers of south India [ Images ] -- Krishna and Godavari. In Andhra Pradesh, 68.5 percent of the catchment area of Krishna and 69 percent catchment area of Godavari are in the Telangana region. In addition, most of the tributaries of these rivers traverse its length and breadth. If the waters of these rivers are properly utilised, almost every acre of cultivable land available in Telangana could be provided with assured irrigation facilities and every village could be provided with assured drinking water facilities.

But Telangana has been denied its rightful share in the river waters by successive governments over the last four and a half decades, irrespective of the political parties and leaders in power.

Education is another issue. At the time of formation of Andhra Pradesh it was assured that disparities in the levels of development in different regions of the state, including in education, would be removed in five to ten years time. But even after 47 years, the literacy rate in Telangana continues to be lowest in the state.

Industries is another aspect. No major industry worth its name has been setup in any of the districts of Telangana region as compared to the establishment of several industries in Visakhapatnam , Vijayawada, Kakinada, Nellore, Tirupati, and Cuddapah. Quite a few major industries established in the Telangana region during the period of much maligned Nizam are being closed one after the other by successive governments.

Also there are about 15 lakh jobs in the government and government-funded offices and establishments in the state. Based on the size of population at least 40 percent of these jobs (6 lakh), should have gone to the job seekers from Telangana. But the total number of jobs now occupied by them is less than 3 lakh. There are more than 5,000 employees in the state's secretariat. Out of them not even 10 percent belong to the Telangana region. There are more than 130 posts of heads of departments but only 7 or 8 are from Telangana.

What if you are asked to make a compromise on Hyderabad?

There is no question of compromise on this issue.

Why is Hyderabad becoming such a debating point?

This is entirely created. Everyone knows that once Telangana is formed, it would have Hyderabad as its capital. A lot of people in power want to retain Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh due to a comfort zone that they are in. Most of these people are involved with realtors and they will benefit.

I wish AP splits into 2 states

I wish AP splits into 2 states, I am eagerly looking forward to that. We are proud to be united, we have all the talent to grab those projects from AP.

Bad, very bad. How many more divisions do you want? Sure you have talents. But why not compete if you have talents? Why divide A.P. to grab projects?

Anyways, please introduce yourself in the "Introduce Yourself" sub-forum under forum "The Members Lounge".

I wish AP splits into 2 states

Hi adrenalin, I am from TN.

Wakeup you foolish people, fight for the projects not 2% govt jobs. Think positive.

KCR will become CM of andhrapradesh

Guys cool down, history repeats, anyway rosiah is not strong enough, sonia will make a deal with KCR and make him CM of andhrapradesh. That is the reason TDP is afraid of joining that group.

Guys instead of fighting for splitting the State, fight to get the required projects. FORM a super Joint action commitee to get projects telangana needed.
Even if the state is split, in the hands of non visionary like KCR, Hyderabd will become karimnagar or nalgonda. Andhra investors will definetly move away rather run away. KCR started his investment plan for hyderabad by kicking the cine field.

with the tons of promises made by KCR, he can't satisfy any one as he won't be having support of limited MP's he will have and fight for the budget allocation.
This people can't get the things done within the AP, how can they get the support from the center.

only people who will succeed is the cunning politicians.

I don't know how the educated people are getting trapped in this political web.
I lived in and around hyderabad for 20years.

Telangana : A new Perspective

I am a student of Public Administration and a Post-Graduate in Pubilc Administration. As a student and analyst of the art of administration I have some views about the TELANGANA issue.

I would like to view this telangana issue in a different perspective.First of all if a split up is granted very easily it will be a bad precedence. If a split up is denied, again and again it may lead to further agitations.

So this issue can be handled in a more different way, by way of involving Tamil Nadu in this issue, i.e., both the States Andhra Pradesh and TamilNadu can be merged into one and slitted into three, on the following grounds

First, there is no guarantee that Tamils will not demand for a split of "Then Tamil Nadu" (South Tamil Nadu) and "Vada Tamil Nadu" (North Tamil Nadu), if a split is granted to Andhra Pradesh, so easily. (Already a rumor started to spread up slowly, of course now subsided)

In such a case South India will contain 6 states which will create more diversity and which may become a hindrance for unity and integrity. But where as now, if TamilNadu is involved in the split up now itself the chances of demand from Tamils for a further split up will be reduced to a

greater extent. Further more South India can be managed with 5 states at least for another 50 to 100 years peacefully. (Being Kerala and Karnataka moderately medium-sized states when compared with Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, may not demand for split up)

Both Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu can be merged and split up as three parts, as:

1.TELANGANA, Northern Andhra Pradesh

2. CHENNA PATTNAM, Southern Andhra Pradesh + Norhtern and Western parts of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore and Salem surroundings with

Chennai as Capital

III PANDIYA NADU, Southern Tamil Nadu, either with Trichy or Madurai as Capital City

Such a merger and split up shall be very advantageous for both the States in several ways Formation of Chenna pattanam, shall result in a formation of a bi-lingual State symbolising more unity and integrity and it can be a center of interaction for both Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu

First of all, Chennai had already been Composite Madras before the split up of Linguistic States and the greater regions of Northern and Western parts of Tamil Nadu contains a sizeable Telugu speaking population who shall welcome such a merger or at least may not object a merger.

Exclusive Tamils will be gifted with PANDIYA NADU with a more exclusive uni-lingual State and which shall be a joyous celebration for Tamils and may not demand for any further split ups in the seen future.

Rayala Seema, loosing the hi-tech advantages of Hyderabad shall be compensated with another Hi-Tech city Chennai in lieu of Hyderabad.Even the name Chennai is already in existence and Chenna Pattanam is the oldest name of Madras and it indicates Telugu Tradition also, so it may be acceptable for both Tamils and Telugus.Southern Andhra Pradesh has abundant water facilities and also heavily affected with floods and Nothern Tamil Nadu is more drier and lacks fertile

water supply. So merger of Northern Tamil Nadu with Andhra Pradesh shall create a more distributed resource and risk sharing opportunity.

Politically, both the major National Parties, Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janatha Party are not able to foot down in Tamil Nadu without the support of either of the two kazhagams. Where as, if this split up is implemented, Congress is already doing well in Andhra Pradesh and BJP also have

competence in Andhra Pradesh. So When a part of Tamil Nadu is merged with Andhra Pradesh, with the existing support in existing parts of the new state, National parties can slowly perform well in the added parts of the new state and which will encourage a healthy political competition.

Moreover, the same wave can also spread in the exclusive Tamil State, and a triangular or quadrangual competition can be created as identical as Uttar Pradesh. It is the moral responsibility of the TAMILS to help Andhra Pradesh, as Tamils cannot simply sit quietly claiming this as a "negibourhood problem",

because in no time the same can spread over in Tamil Nadu too. Hence this danger has to be understood by the TAMILs and some arrangement has to be done to protect Andhra Pradesh and prevent Tamil Nadu.

Student attempts self-immolation over Telangana

The students' protest over the Telangana issue in Hyderabad on Saturday took a tragic turn with a one of them attempting self-immolation.

S Yadaiah, a student of intermediate second year, set himself ablaze at the main entrance of Osmania University as police had prevented students from marching towards the state assembly to lay a siege demanding resignation of all elected representatives of Telangana region.

The youth, a student of Noble College in the city, poured kerosene, set himself ablaze and tried to run towards the police barricade. He suffered serious burn injuries and was taken to a hospital.

In a suicide note, he wrote that he was taking the extreme step to protest the delay in formation of Telangana state.

The incident heightened tension at Osmania University, the hotbed of Telangana movement, as hundreds of students clashed with police and paramilitary forces.

We should not go for the Splitting up fo Andhra Pradesh. Its quite hard to reunite people. It will be better to do some revolutionary action on the incident
