Sports Management is an essential part of the sport industry through which the talents and the funds can be better utilized. There are basically three important sectors of the Indian sports. First one is the public sector that includes the governmental organizations and the government that make the sports policies, provide finds for talents, develop infrastructure etc. Second sector is the non-profit sector that is comprised of the national, international and local sports bodies that provide opportunities to the people for participating in the sports events and at the third there is the private sector that is involved in the sports and its associated activities with an aim of making profit. For a balanced growth of the sports, these three sectors should function properly and in order to make them function well in balance the sports management is must. There should be a proper allocation of sufficient funds with respect to raising the standards of the sports talents and the trainers. During the sports management the important components of the private sector should be kept under crucial consideration like, involvement of the sports management companies, collaboration with media providers and manufacturers of sports’ goods, organizing professional leagues and increasing the participation in those leagues. A good sports management would give better opportunities to the youth of the country to perform at their best and also enable them to give a new shape to the sports industry of India.
