Son of Sardar is a film by Ashwani Dhir, starring Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Juhi Chawla, Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh. The movie is based on revenge and the story of the film is Ajay Devgn, a Sardar travels home to Punjab from the UK, to claim his ancestral land. On the train journey he meets Sonakshi and love-at-first-sight happens, following which he ends up as a guest in her house only to discover there is an old deadly family feud with his own, which requires his death too. The only safe option is to live-in with the enemy and the only safe place is staying within the four walls of their house, as he is the ‘guest’ and they will not touch him, but step outside and his life is on the line. The film has complete Punjabi masala mixed with Bollywood Drama. The movie is a remake of of a South Indian movie called ‘Maryada Ramanna’. However, the movie fails to create the same magic as the original one. It is overall an entertaining movie with lot of action.
