However disability is a restriction for a person that limits his/her efficiency and liberty to do any work. But still there are many people who never feel struck because of their disabilities, in India we have many great persons with disabilities who despite of so much of physical restriction have done outstanding work and have made us proud of them, following are the names of those people with disabilities: Sudha Chandran She is an Indian actress and a famous classical dancer. She met with an accident at the age of 16 at got her ankle fractured due to which doctor plastered it. This wound later got infected severely and the doctors had to amputate her leg. Sudha later got a prosthetic Jaipur foot in order to overcome her disability and after that she never looked back. Despite of her disability she became an internationally recognized Bharatnatyam dancer and made India really proud of her. Ravindra Jain He was born with visual impairment but was also gifted with a remarkable sense of music. At a very young age he joined the Indian music industry and became one of the most talented music directors of 1970s. He had given many super-hit songs to the film industry; music of Ramanada Sagar’s Ramayana was given by Ravindra Jain that was highly appreciated. Girish Sharma Girish lost his leg in a train accident when he was just a kid but his sheer passion led him to become a Badminton champion. Today he has only one leg with which he plays badminton so conveniently. Shekhar Naik He is the captain of the Blind Indian Cricket Team; he has been suffering from visual impairment since his childhood. But he had this passion for cricket that led him to transform his disability into a dedication for a sport. Under his supervision the team has also won the world cup T20 blind cricket league in the year 2012 and again in 2014. Sai Prasad Vishwanathan He lost the sensation in his lower half body when he was a small kid but this disability could never overshadow his passion and determination to do something unusual in his life. He became India’s first disabled Skydiver and got his name registered in the Limca Book of Records for skydiving from 14,000 feet. Arunima Sinha Once she got robbed by few robbers in a moving train after which she was being thrown out the train. In this incidence she lost her one leg but she proved that she is a strong woman and would never bow down in front of the problems. She got a prosthetic leg and became the first disabled woman to climb up the Mount Everest. Rajinder Singh Rahelu He is a person with polio caused disability but also a person who decided that he would never let his disability to come in between him and his dreams. He pursued his career in sports and decided to become a weight-lifter. He began to lift weight of 75kgs but after immense hard-work he succeeded in lifting a weight of 115kgs. He has won a Silver medal in power-lifting at the Commonwealth Games 2014.
