Social Media today is playing a huge role in people’s life and molding, influencing and manipulating people’s thoughts and ideas. This is also affecting politics as people form their notion as per things are shown or portrayed in Social media. It has now become a major source of campaigning for politicians and they can easily get votes by manipulating the mindset of people. Social media is affecting politics in a negative way and people get influenced and choose the wrong leader. What do you think?
yea ppl choose the wrong leader....but thers not realy all that many gud leaders to choose from.....ther all corrupt....they realy cnt do anything other than make false promises.....o wait they can do one more thing....publicize these false promises via social media......we need new leaders ....nd wen these leaders come.....the deaf wil even hear the truth in the words they say nd the promises they make....nd the blind wil even see the differences they make for a better India....
Political parties are making good use of their rights. Since they are allowed to advertize and promote, now parties have become proactive on social media sites and on television. Social media is one platform where one is more active and gets influenced easily. Moreover things can be manipulated on social media platforms, for instance, one party may get paid likes for their page and thereby further boost their awareness and authority. And yes, i agree that there are negative aspects associated with this mode of campaigning. But then few good parties which do not have enough money to campaign can really make use of this platform. What do you think?
My thoughts comply with yours. The political parties have become extra active on social media network and are using their rights. It is a good way to promote the parties for the upcoming elections and owing to the extensive use of social media today, political parties are campaigning over these sites to get votes. If used in a proper way than social media can be a good way for campaigning and I agree small parties can use it as an effective tool.
How do you think people are responding to the small parties. While, these small parties do have a chance to display their will and strategies for building a strong nation, they do not have experience in running this complex democratic country. Do you think people of India would entrust their faith in such small parties and let them handle the situations forthcoming over the next 5 years? What are your views on this?
