In the recent times a number of rural population is migrating to the urban and developed cities. Reasons for this migration can broadly be described as the economic purpose of the rural people. They migrate to urban cities in search of work/ employment and to seek an improved livelihood. However, this migration to cities gives them economic security and employment opportunities, but at the same time there are many of the social impacts that these people have to face among the urban people. --Firstly, there is a lot of communication gap between the rural and urban people. Their language, way of talking and interpretation is completely different. Many of the rural people feel inferior and lagging behind when they are not able to communicate with the urban people and in an urban atmosphere. --Secondly, the lifestyles are completely different in the cities. The urban people are rather more advanced and modernized whereas the rural people are less educated/illiterate. They are unaware of the modern lifestyles, including dressing sense, socializing, meeting with people and so on. --Thirdly, the cultural patterns are entirely different in the cities that become a hindrance for the rural people. Because the rural people are grounded in the traditional values and beliefs, thus the modern / western culture of cities in a way amuse the rural people who migrate. --Fourthly, the Society becomes divided into various groups and caste consciousness gets strengthened when the rural people migrate to the cities. Rural people become little rigid to rescue their castes even in the cities and create a line of difference that always stand them out on the other side. Fifthly, cities become overcrowded with people having diversified mentalities, personalities, belief systems that sometimes gives a very complicated picture of the city. Migration is itself an issue for the city because it endangers the sustainability of the city at the later stage.
