Supreme court has ordered a ban on tourism in 41 tiger reserves across India taking in view the disturbance the tourism industry creates to these royal beasts. However the flip side of this move is that the tourism industry has taken a hit and the unemployment would increase if the ban is not lifted. But should we put the lives of our national animal at stake just for the sake of employment of few people? Throw in your views!
In my view, ban on tourism in tiger reserves should continue. Although this will to a great extent affect the revenue of the country, but money is not as important as the lives of these tigers who endangered. This ban was ordered by the Supreme Court because it affects the environment where these tigers are kept. I don't think we should put the lives of our national animal at stake just for the sake of employment of few people.
I completely agree with you that ban on tourism in tiger reserves should continue. It is solely because tourism is spoiling the natural habitat of tigers. Tigers are becoming endangered species and they need to be protected or they will get extinct. So this ban is a great decision by Supreme Court.
