Politicians in India clutches on to their chair in such a way that they do not give opportunity to any young people to join Politics. Moreover, these politicians are elected for a purpose and they should be restrained by imposing retirement age. It is true that politicians who are old are more experienced and can run the country better but in my view, there should be retirement age of politicians in India as India needs young people to come up with fresh ideas and change the whole nation for better. We have seen what the old politicians have done to the country or is doing. They should now retire and let the youth enter Indian Politics. What are your views? Should politicians in India have retirement age?
Like any Government official, politicians should also have retirement age. This will help the nation to progress with new ideas and new and young people joining politics. In my view, a politician should retire at the age of 60 years and can hold ceremonial offices after their retirement. This will promote young talent as well as help in changing the nation.
Definitely Indian Politician should have retirement age and it should be set at the age of maximum 75 years. This is because, if Government considers that a general Government employee is not capable of working after 60 years, then how can a politician who is above 75 years take right decisions on behalf of the whole nation. This will also encourage young leaders to work well.
I completely agree with you that Indian Politicians should have retirement age like any other Government employee and the age should be same as the retirement age of a Government employee. An old politician may have the experience but we are in need to new ideas for development and this cannot be given by them. The nation is in need of young leaders and it is right that an old politician after a certain age is not capable of taking right decision on behalf of the nation.
