The recent comments made by Sharukh Khan on the inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL has created new controversies. However it should be noted that Shahrukh Khan never told that he prefers the Pakistani players than the Indians. He was saying that as the rules of IPL allows him to hire 4 foreign players, he could have hired the Pakistani players for his team. This decision does not establish himself as a pro-Pakistani person. In every occasion, Shahrukh Khan has been reiterating his spirit of nationalism.

But it’s also true that looking at the gravity of the Mumbai attack and the role of Pakistan in it, he should have been refrained from making such comments. It was usual for India to disallow the Pakistani players in IPL as a mark of protest. An incident like Mumbai attack should be blamed in the strongest possible way. It will be wrong to say that cricket and politics should not be mixed. Because what happened in Mumbai attack was not a mere politics. It was an assault on humanity. And India can take all possible measures to protest against such act of terrorism.

At the same time, it is observed that, Shiv Sena should not take undue advantage of such incident. Because of the increasing influence of MNS, Shiv Sena is losing its ground. And it needs issues to re-strengthen its position amongst the masses. No topic other than Bollywood and cricket influence the ordinary citizens of India. Making most of the opportunity, Shiv Sena has chosen this issue to get some cheap publicity.

Freedom of Speech is one of the Fundamental Rights guaranteed by the charter of rights contained in the Constitution of India. Just because Shahrukh Khan is a Muslim, it doesn't get obliterated automatically. He is an Indian first, as much as I am and the Indian Constitution guarantees every right to Shahrukh too. He has spoken his mind, I am - mine.

True. If Shahrukh was so concerned about that, why did he being an owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders did not pick any Pakistani player. Is it not double standards? He too should draw the line somewhere and stick to it.

Wrong. No one from GoI disallowed Pakistani players in IPL. IPL is a private affair. GoI had already issued visas to 11 Pakistani players even before the bidding started for IPL-III.

Right! But GoI have not been anywhere close to being there. See, we are already starting talks with Pakistan.

I agree. If we have to cut ties, sever everything.

Then there are these breed of people from both sides of the border who would chant that Music and Sports should not be mixed with politics and blah blah.
Are Music and Sports more than the blood of innocent Indians killed by terrorists sent in by Pakistan? If not, then 'Shut Up Morons'.

Why are we even talking about these rowdy organisations? I am a Hindu, but I am ashamed of these organizations.

Shahrukh just followed the trend in IPL

We can't assume that Shahrukh Khan did not take any Pakistani player in his team by his own choice. When all the other teams are rejecting Pakistani players, Shahrukh would not have the guts to include Pakistani players in his team.

What's the connection there? You mean Shahrukh Khan is gutless? I think he is more than what we think he is. Shrewd would be the correct word. :D

SRK could not go against the wave

Shahrukh is not gutsless. But he did not have the courage to go against the decision/trend of all the other IPL team owners. That's why he could not include the Pakistani players in his team.

Maybe. But look the other way round'. Pakistan had a whitewash of a series in Australia. T20 does not test the character of a cricketer, Test Matches does. And intellectuals from across the border were screaming that we insulted World Champions.:D

And immediately, Shahid Afridi was caught by cameras tampering with the ball. We do not need cheats now in IPL, do we?

At different points of time, the celebrities express their view. And sometime such views hurt the sentiments of a section of the society or an organization or the whole nation and create unfavorable situations.

After the IPL and Pakistani players controversy sparked by the comments of Shahrukh Khan, the actor is silent. He is neither giving any statement nor any clarification. What does this silence mean? Has Shahrukh Khan left Mumbai and staying (hiding) at Dubai? . it was his responsibility to express his views and stand by the fact that he believes to be right. Staying away from situation like this will only worsen the situation. It will also give more chances to the opportunists to take undue advantage like congress party.

Was it blown out or proportion? Did he mean something else when he told that he should have included Pakistani players in his team? It may be a slip of tongue or slip of thoughts , the damage is already done that cannot be compensated. Yet, the situation can be normal now if Shahrukh says something.

There is no fault to say sorry to the nation or to the people of India if he expressed some views that might hurt the sentiment of the people of his own country.

What should be the right step that should be taken by Shah RukhKhan to pacify the situation? Can anyone comment?

Right after the 26/11 attacks, there was a debate in some news channel and Simi Garewal said that there are Muslims in India who fly Pakistani Flags on their roop-tops. Someone from the audience then very strongly objected to her. This is the power of Indian democracy.

After a while, in an interview, Shahrukh Khan said that he is afraid to comment on the Mumbai attacks, lest people infer something else. He then went on to say that "a certain lady said that we Muslims in India fly Pakistani Flags, but it is a Muslim flag, and not a Pakistani flag".

A certain lady??? Does he not know Simi Garewal? Obnoxious moron....
And he did not comment on 26/11 not because of someone interpreting him wrong, but for his movies. His films earns quite an amount across the border.
And, Shahrukh as a known personality of India should have condemned 26/11 right after the attacks. He did not, and if he has done so after some days/weeks,then I don't know, nor am I interested to know.

And why the hell should anyone fly flags of their community in a democracy? Parsis don't do that, nor do Hindus or for that matter any other community. Why they have to be so different from others, and remain aloof. All this while they complain that this Nation have not given them anything. What have they given back to India? And if it hurts that much, why did not they move into Pakistan in 1947?

They remain segregated from mainstream India, mingle with their own community. Who the hell would block them from becoming a doctor or an engineer or a scientist?

I am a secular guy, and I am for all religions. But making religion a minority issue every time is something that is blocking their progress as a whole. Cannot they see and think out of the box for once.

    Coming back to the topic....

If he was a pro nation guy, as he has claimed, Why did not he pick any Pakistani players for his Kolkata Knight Riders? Because, after spending money on them, if they are not available to play in IPL 3, the loss is his right? As simple as that.

Is he mental? He did not pick players for his team, and then comments like a weirdo.

Shut up for the rest of his life, lest he makes a fool of himself again and continue making stupid m...m...m.......movies.

But Shahrukh should not say something against our national interest. Before being a celebrity he is an Indian first. He also openly expresses it.

He should say sorry for his remarks.

    Right!

And adding to that, as I said before, if he wanted Pakistani players in IPL, why the hell did he not choose a single one of those for his team?

He has made a fool out of himself and will continue to do so:rolleyes:

As long as Shiv Sena does things in national interest, I guess things should be fine. But they should not go on destroying properties or threaten people. I don't support Shiv Sena, but not allowing Pakistani players in IPL 3, in my right sense was quite correct.

Our countries are not even on talking terms, why include players from a hostile country then? We got the money, and we can get anybody from anywhere to play IPL, right?

    Oh please!
SRK is an icon of the Lacs of hormonal imbalanced teenage girls of India :D
    (no offence to women intended)

Yeah! Not selecting Pakistani players for his own team and then double speaking.

SRK is as morally culpable as is Bal Thackery atleast in this case!!!

    Destroyers of maratha patriotism

When it comes to patriotism the people of Maharashtra can hold their heads with unmatchable pride. the likes of Lokmanya Gangadhar Rao Tilak, Ranade,Dr.Hegdewar, Veer Savarkar and many more others are unparalleled in the freedom struggle of the country.Chattrapati Shivaji stood guard against the fundamentalist tyranny of the Mughal ruler,Aurangjeb. The likes of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar and Rani Laxmibai stood too tall against the onslaught of Britishers, the East India Company

Now in the great land of Marathas we have the THAKREY clan self appointing
themselves as the patriarch of Maharashrian identity and pride. It is a matter of disgrace to all those who blindly follow these destroyers of unity of this great nation, for the independence and sovereignty of which people of Maharashtra have made innumerable sacrifices.

Let me bring out a few facts about the back ground of this CLAN who are playing with the sentiments of a section of Maharashtrian community in the name of Marathi Manus:-

THAKREYs are not from maharashtra instead they are from Madhya Pradesh and they are as much an out sideras any other person from UP or BIHAR.

Neither Balasaheb Thakrey nor any of his elders or a family members ever took any part in any way in the freedom struggle of this great nation

Thakrey, the self proclaimed guardian of Hindutva has been spitting venom all his life against a minority community in India but Javed Miandad, the Pakistani cricketer and father-in law of underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's daughter has been enjoying hospitality at MATOSHREE, his residence.

Thakrey or his clan have no business to ask a true Indian like SHAHRUKH KHAN to go to Pakistan because Mr. Khan has more righs to stay in this country than the Thakre Clan because of the sacrifices made by his father Sh. TAJ MOHAMMED MIR and his uncle Sh. GULAM MOHAMMED GAMA who not only actively participated in freedom struggle, went to jail on a number of occasions but left PESHAWAR after partition to stay in India telling Mr.Jinnah that they were born in India, fought for the independence of India and would prefer to die in India and not Pakistan.

Mumbai is not the paternal property of Thakre or his clan. It belongs to every Indian as much as any part of this country.Mr.Rahul Gandhi's undettered visit to Mumbai and Mr. Shahrukh Khan's return to Mumbai accepting the challenge of Thakre clan must be an eye opener to the old tiger, his favored and rebellion cubs Uddhav and Raj that they are the most hated ones today not only in Mahaharashtra but all over the country for the reason that three of them are dangerous enemies of United India. If the Government of Maharashtra has any respect for the law of this land, it must ensure that these three JAICHANDS of modern Indian history rot in gallows for the rest of their lives

No he should not be sorry....is he saying he is a pakistani or something..He's a true Indian. He just supported the cricket spirit..And in Cricket there is no Pakistani and Hindustani.. We should remember that.. And if he was so wrong then our country's icon like Rahul Gandhi and the whole India wouldn't supported him so much.
