Sexual assault ordinance has been signed by the President of India. The change in law will come into force soon. This ordinance have provision for death penalty for rape cases that has led to the death of the women who has been raped or has caused serious injuries. It attempts to treat such cases as "rarest-of-rare" category for which courts can award death punishment if they so decide. The ordinance also proposes a minimum sentence of 20 years which can be extended to imprisonment until the natural life of the convict, or death. Will this ordinance be able to reduce the rising number of sexual assault in our country? What do you think?

All we can do is hope for the best. I wish that this new ordinance that has been passed in order to curb sexual assault can work wonders and become successful in achieving its objective. It is a good initiative in reducing the increasing number of rapes and other sexual assault. This ordinance will be definitely successful only if it is implemented properly. What do you think?

I agree that all we can do is hope that this new ordinance that has been signed by the President of India in order to avert and reduce or rather eliminate sexual assault that women in India faces. This ordinance if implemented properly will surely become successful in achieving its desired objective and surely India will become a safer and better place for women.
