until 1870, there was no law for educating the masses of our country. child labor was prevailing to the fullest and poor families never sent their children for studying. education act, 1870 was enacted to give the right of education to the whole population. under this act, schools were opened by the government and formal schooling was made compulsory.

this is a historic mark that education act 1870 enabled opening of schools. education is the backbone of any country. if everyone is educated then there would be lesser crisis and development would be much faster. much more specifications must be made in the act so as to change the obsolete system of education.
