Marriage is considered to be a pure and sacred connection between two individuals in India. In different religions especially in the Hindu religion, marriage is perceived as a sacred obligation for the person. Nevertheless in India the women are held solely responsible for creating and spoiling a marriage. She is supposed to be the creator of the family and a healthy married relationship and she is also responsible to ruin it simply. The whole responsibility is in precise put on the shoulders of the woman. And here the woman sometimes feels frustrated or gruesome when things go out of her control even after trying the best. There might be many reasons due to which the marriage of two people might get into trouble but as per the Indian social system it is always the woman who should try to rescue her marriage at any cost and if she fails to do so, she is simply tagged as incompetent for that marriage. All the faults are thrown upon the woman only. Under the pressure of the society and family, the woman feel being subjugated and trapped. She feels hopeless but still seeks for some hope. This is a sad picture of the Indian women who even after trying their best, feel helpless in saving the marriage, they want freedom from that futile relationship/marriage but cannot achieve it and ultimately most of the Indian women accept this subjugation of saving the marriage as a long life way of living.
