    Saree is known as the “Six Yard Sophistication” and is famous Indian women attire since ages. This attire makes an Indian woman look elegant and enhances the beauty of a woman. Saree is one of the common Indian women attire all over the nation and this gives a sensuous look, graceful touch and offers a feminine feel. It is an attire that can be worn for every occasion and to every place. It is also considered as a professional wear and helps in creating a good impression over everyone. Every woman loves wearing saree, no matter how modern she is as it makes her look extremely elegant and graceful. Here are some of the tips for choosing sarees for various occasions.

    For casual occasions: A cotton saree with batik print looks great for a causal occasion but you can even go for brocade or cotton silk or tissue sarees if you have a slim built as these sarees will not only make you look elegant but will also wrap well in your body a make you look little healthier as well as attractive. However, if you are on the heavier side, wear a light coloured chiffon or georgette saree as it will make you look slimmer. Nevertheless, the blouse you choose enhances the beauty of the saree. So, it is important that you choose the blouse style according to your body type. For the ones who are on the heavier side, avoid wearing blouses without sleeves and it is advisable that you wear a blouse with full-sleeves or quarter sleeves as it will make you look slimmer.

    For special occasions: For special occasions, you can wear heavy sarees that are now in fashion but a bordered south silk saree can make you look more elegant. However, if you have a slim built, you can wear net sarees or even the lace ones that are in fashion now along with a nicely designed blouse but avoid wearing these type of sarees if you are on the heavier side as it will make you look more heavier. Instead wear as south silk or a Kanjivaram saree with a single border and a beautiful blouse, as this will make you look slimmer as well as quite sophisticated. If you are on the heavier side, avoid wearing sarees by pleating them and pinning them as it will show up you body and the extra ounces.

    Professional Wear: Saree is considered as the perfect professional attire if you can carry it off well. Cotton and silk sarees are the best ones as a professional wear. Pure silk or south silk makes you look sophisticated and the cotton sarees offers an ethnic and total Indian look, teamed up with some ethnic accessories. It is important to drape you saree properly and wear simple and sober blouses as it will make you look more professional yet graceful. Avoid wearing chiffon or net sarees to work as it looks little clumsy and inappropriate for workplace.
