Revolution is another name of Change. It is in fact the complete transformation of a society. "The maximum unexpected change that takes place in the shortest time is called revolution". "It is an unexpected, extraordinary and sudden change". A revolution is then, more or less sudden social change, usually accomplished by forceful overthrow of the existing political order and leading to the establishment of new forms of social and legal controls. Revolution is no doubt, a social change but it is quite different from evolution. Evolution takes much time and moves in its own way but revolution is maximum of evolution in the shortest possible time. As a result of this situation and unexpected change, the existing order is badly shaken and changed. Social revolution creates a powerful upheaval uprooting both good and bad values, taking at the price of ill and bloodshed calling for extensive social disorganization. Today India is going through such a revolutionary stage that has evolved from a long series of social and political struggle.
