As far as I believe the reservation policy in India has created a divide between the competent and the incompetent youth. Reservation has somewhere build up a huge gap between the deserving and the undeserving ones. Those who work hard for the whole year in order to get admission in best colleges of their choices have sometimes have to face unjustified situations where someone else gets the privilege of getting the seat on the basis of reservation. With the 50% reservation in the government and private sectors there has been aroused a big divide in the nation. The undeserving academically poor candidates easily get seat in engineering and medical college. That eventually builds up hate feeling between upper and lower caste people. This also creates a tremendous frustration among the youth who equally work hard and secures higher marks but unfortunately loses their seat because merely someone else has also applied for the same seat under the reservation policy. The academic excellence of a candidate cannot be neglected and transferred to the one who is less competent but secures a reserved seat. I firmly feel, reservation system somewhere increases laziness in the youth who usually do not want to study but feel secured on the reservation basis. This is truly an unjustified policy for the youth who are hard-working and serious about their future. what is your take in this regard?
