Republic Day is celebrated to memorialize the day when the Indian Constitution was adopted and the day when India was declared as a Republic. On 26th January, every year we get an opportunity to pay homage to our soldiers and also have an opportunity to witness the “Unity in diversity”, which our nation is famous for. On this day, the President of our nation hoists the flag of India, which is followed by a grand parade by the armed forces as well as the students of different states showing the varied colours of our nation. The Republic day is celebrated with grandeur and fervour in every part of India. It is celebrated in schools and colleges by hoisting the National Flag of India followed by cultural programs and competitions. It is a great day for every Indian.
