You must build up confidence, courage and hope. But how? Simply by doing it. Fill your mind with confident thoughts and confidence will come. So, in the examination instead of looking at the questions like scared rabbit, look at them calmly believing that with your thorough preparation behind you, you have nothing to fear. This is the one sure way of calling to life all your natural intelligence, and helping you to do your best.

Here are some tips which may be helpful to you in making the most of an examination:

    1. As soon as you take your seat in the examination hall, close your eyes and pray for 2 minutes. Feel all the blessings, all the intelligence being showered upon you by the Almighty.
    2. Check all the pages of your answer sheet. If any page is torn or mutilated get it changed. Fill in all the entries on the first page of the answer sheet clearly and legibly. Double check your roll number.
    3. If you get the answer sheet without margin line, draw it with pencil and scale. Some students fold the answer sheet for margins; do not do it.
    4. After you get the question paper, first read all the instructions carefully and then the whole paper at least twice.
    5. Roughly divide your time for each question/ section of the paper so that you don't run short of time at the end.
    6. Draw a line with scale and pencil after every answer. Start every answer on a fresh page; but parts of the same question must be done together.
    7. Make sure that you grasp the point and the full implication of the particular question asked, before you start to write. Always make sure of what it means, before you write a single word.
    8. Begin with the easier question first. Otherwise you may be held up so long with the difficult ones that you have no time to do justice to the ones you could deal with right away.
    9. It is valuable to remember that in answering questions you don't need always to adopt the essay form, which is very time consuming. Particularly where you are giving facts or reasons, summarize in short sentences. This saves time and it is what the examiner also wants.
    10. If you do not know the answer of a question, don't try to mislead or fool the examiner by answering sideways.
    11. Prefer to use a good quality fountain pen the best ink available to a ball point pen.
    12. Write your answers legibly and neatly without making any cuttings as far as possible. If you have to, cut it very lightly so that it is not very boldly visible.
    13. Never write the questions in the answer sheet. If you do, you not only waste your precious time, but irritate the examiner also. However put question number along with the part, if any, boldly and clearly at the beginning of the answer.
    14. One final suggestion: budget your time so that you have some at last for revision of all the answers.

    Which you good luck!
