Police reforms in India are the need of the hour, the Indian police have been functioning under the Police Act of 1861 due to the post-independent period of India. Last few years the police men are working in the under of Soli Sorabjee Committee, by this committee they are deciding the powers of our Indian police men. It also decides the law and order situations with district police in India.

At present the police men are more powerful than ever before. They have more powers for capturing the criminals. Police men are now using various new technologies which are delivered by the Indian government and scientists of India. There are various implementation needed in the police such as more than ninety percent of all policeman are posted at the rank of head constables and constables.

These all are poorly trained and ill educated but they are looking for their superior rank. This is not good for police men and the improvement should be done from top to bottom position. As the policemen have become more powerful today and as a result of that they are also ignoring human’s rights and police reforms.

The police men are having various duties in their work and the duty should be changed after some time. The better way of greater egalitarianism should be introduced in the police ranks by raising their responsibility more and every one should respect the lowest rank police officers. These types of changes can improve the police man impression to the others.

India in dire need of police reforms, what do you think ?

police has somehow become a word to threaten naughty kids who do not fall asleep easily at night...lol.
in a democratic country like India, police was meant to be the protector of the law, however, they have eventually started misusing their powers and become law breakers.
may it a third degree room, night duties or posting of policemen in remote areas, there have been various issues of public concern with the involvement of police in villainous role.
it is the need of an hour to bring about resolutions in the Police Act to make the working smooth and safe. hopefully, with the needful done, India will become a safe country where people will not be more scared of the police than the thieves. after all, in the present scenario, we can complain about theft but we cannot actually take a step against police.

The Indian police are developing in recent days. Many of the advanced technologies are being deployed by the Indian police. Since most of the policemen are constables and head constables they need to be trained properly with all skills and also should be educated. Even the salaries of the policemen should be reviewed and hiked as they are being under paid.

The police in today's scenario is a word that fill people heart and mind more with fear than with the feeling of safety. The behavior of police towards common man is more bulling than soothing. They are misusing their powers and are becoming law breaker. The police powers needs to be reformed along with the policemen men themselves. They should be abreast with the latest development and should be trained well.

indian police need some worthwhile reforms so that it can match the standards of police of other developed nations. the standards of indian police are quite low when it comes to weaponry, tactical armors, defence strategies, recon strategies, use of enhanced vehicles and deployment of choppers, and much more like this!

police reforms are very less in india since independence. look at the police force on streets.. hardly any one is armed.. it may sound harsh but things are in a way that if there is hit and run case, police personnel cannot do a thing about it. at max, the constables are armed with a wooden stick.. indian police needs to evolve a lot

We eagerly await some police reforms in India because the police force works with very basic facilities. The government loots loads of tax money which is mostly shoved into the pockets of politicians. Instead the police force should be upgraded with better arms and ammunition, better armor, and better training facilities which not only improves their combat skills but also the technical knowledge.

In India police forces are in turmoil and wrecked condition. And it becomes clear from the recent bomb attack at the Delhi High court that no one is safe in our country. Govt. needs to realize the importance of beefing up security at major places and also upgrade the police personals with latest equipment to combat terror strikes.

DefinDefinitely, Police reform in India is the need of the hour. Police force in India is something that all the civilians look upto for safety in the society. There has been improvement to a certain extent in the recent times as advance technologies, arms and ammunitions etc have been installed, yet there needs to be more reforms in the laws governing the Indian Police. The time has changed and hence the crimes have changed and increased considerably. It is not wise enough to still follow the laws which were made before independence. The police forces in India needs adequate training and should get all the facilities they deserve as they work as the shield that protects our society from crimes.
