The Planning Commission of India has set Rs 32 per day (In the urban areas) as the cut off for below poverty line index. How can they even think that 32 rupees would be sufficient enough to make a day's living? And the most horrid part of it being the cut off for rural area is much less-Rs 26 a day! I think the planning commission should come out and show us practically how can one make a day's living with that meager amount!
