Most of us who plan to purchase a car often end up in dilemma in choosing between a petrol car and a diesel car. Both the engine types have their pros and cons. According to me Petrol car is only worth going for if a person uses car to travel in short distances (avg monthly traveling is less than 1000kms). Whereas diesel should be opted when a person needs car to travel longer distances. Please share your opinions on this.

According to me Diesel cars are the best ones to go with if one is planning to buy a car short to medium duration. Petrol cars can serve longer and therefore they can be opted if one has plans to buy a car and keep it for long. Diesel cars have shorter service life, but have good resale value and are more fuel efficient.

It is very true that people very often end up in a dilemma while buying a car whether to buy a petrol or a diesel car. Both of them has its own pros and cons. With the rising price of petrol, it has become difficult for people to afford a car that is run by petrol and they prefer diesel cars. However, the problem with diesel car is that the travel should not be less than 1000kms per month on an average. Petrol cars are more durable than diesel cars and it can be a better choice than diesel cars.
