Polycystic Ovarian Disease more commonly known as PCOD. It is a state in which there is an imbalance of female sex hormones. It can cause irregular menstrual cycle, problems in conceiving, skin problems, loss of hair or even excess hair growth in the body, excess weight gain without reason. In PCOD, small cysts are formed which prevents the ovaries from ovulation. It is reported that most women from the age of 12 to 45 years are likely to be suffering from it. If not treated at an early stage may cause infertility. The reason behind it is the food habit. Junk food, fast food, beverages like soft drinks etc should be avoided.

PCOD is now quite common among young girls. PCOD if treated at an early stage is curable however, it can lead to infertility in women if not taken seriously. The main cause if the life style that is lead by the young crowd that has less or no exercise, eating unhealthy food etc. The young generation today is more inclined towards having Fast Food, soft drinks etc which are slow poison and the main reason for many health issues faced today. PCOD should not be taken casually and if the symptoms are seen, it is advisable to consult a doctor at an earliest.

Yes PCOD is one of the main causes of infertiliy. This is mainly bcoz of STRESS & UNHEALTHY FOOD HABITS which inturn causes the hormonal imbalance and finally leads to polycystic ovarian diseases. See PCOD term seems to be the tiny one but it originally is PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) a complex disorder of excess androgen production & chronic anovulation. So female body is completely based on hormones of which she is supposed to take care, otherwise may harm the whole system.
