BY: Adnkronos International Indian government sources claim Pakistan is carrying out 'heightened activity' with its fighter aircraft on its side of the border with India, prompting New Delhi to review its air defence preparedness. The pretext appears to be the recent Pakistani contention that Indian Air Force aircraft had violated its airspace. "Heightened activity by Pakistan Air Force aircraft has been detected on their side of the border. All measures are being taken to ensure defence preparedness," well-placed sources in India's Defence Ministry confirmed. Tensions between the nuclear neighbours have risen following the Mumbai attacks, widely blamed on Pakistan-based militants. Sources said the Pakistani fighter aircraft seemed to be engaging in "aggressive posturing". A source said: "The Pakistani fighter aircraft seem to be trying to provoke India. The Pakistan Air Force aircraft have not crossed into Indian airspace so far, but are flying very close to it. India is watching closely." Sources said this pattern was detected soon after Pakistan recently claimed that its airspace had been violated twice by Indian Air Force fighter aircraft. In New Delhi, defence minister A.K. Antony on Thursday held a meeting with all three service chiefs and the defence secretary "to review the overall security situation and to take stock of the state of preparedness of the armed forces". Officials indicated that the timing of the meeting was significant, given the distinct deterioration of ties with Pakistan following the Mumbai terror attacks allegedly by Pakistani terrorists. The Indian Air Force had recently declared that it was a "responsible" air force and had not violated Pakistani airspace.
IAF was just fingering to see how quick the paki response is to an incursion by IAF, so that in future it helps to evaluate the response time of PAF to surgical precision strikes by IAF in Pakistan and POK. thats why we saw two incursions by IAF in two different sectors!
Well if one visit any Pakistani defence web discussion forum, then he will come across how much CAP being flown by PAF fighter jets over several Pakistnai key city. They seems to be in a complete alert status and fear. One thing Indian Fighter jet did good by intruding their airspace by 4Km, atleast that incident is giving sleepless nights to the Pakistan about Indian agression. They are needlessly consuming their hard earned fuel to the fuel guzzling aircarft, atleast India made Pakistan something to spent without any prior reason.
they are already a poor country, and we are forcing them to spend their IMF loan money on jet fuel i guess we can strangle them like this.
Yeah, they are a nation which can only survive by anti India feelings and war mongering. ISI and the Generals control the country as always. They need anti India feelings to run high to legitamise their own existence.So you will read more stories about PAF and their army. This is not ment ot understimate them but we should not pick the bait and move our focus from economy and development. Ours is a disciplined and professional defense force which works under a civilian government so don't need sound bytes to prove their existence.We will have a tough fight from the pakiz in case of evantuality but believe me we will hit them hard. No nation can afford to to use nuclear weapons in todays world as the consequence will be terrible in case of pak it may be the end of it.It is just smart positioning they do to scare us as they know we have more to loose. I don't see any need to go to war with Pakiz as they are in the process of self destruction so why should we dirty our hands.We should spend our resources to improve and fortify our internal security and stamp out corruption and naxalites as that is more important.
Well what will they do with junk air force anyway. They are no match for us, prehaps we should put them out of their miseries and make sure we hit htem where it hurts.
