Banning of Pakistani artists in India is a dastardly act.It is true that after each attack of Pakistan-backed terrorist groups in the Indian soil a hue and cry develops and the center of attention of this public outrage happens to be banning of Pakistani artists in India. The same uproar got a new height when on earth 26/11 episode took place in Mumbai and even scores of Indian artists were found to join the same bandwagon. Now the question remains whether the same is feasible enough and whether the same act, if ever done, would bring about some changes. The question is too complicated without a shred of doubt and the answer is more difficult since there is hardly any straight answer to the same. Artists from the realm of Pakistan akin to their Indian counterparts are worshipers of music and culture and hence, they can be regarded as people who remain out of the periphery of politics. There can be another reason. Perhaps it is comparably easier for Indians to express their grudge against Pakistan through doing the same! There is no doubt in it that the Indian government has failed to adopt any tough measures against this country, getting recognized as blatant exporter of religion-based terrorism across the globe more and more. However, there is another reality. In spite of recurring efforts from the Indian soil to diffuse tensions between the two neighboring counties at times and through inviting Pakistani artists to perform, there has not been any such major invitation to the Indian artists ever. All these indicate that there has been a one-sided effort altogether and in the words of noted ghazal exponent, Talat Aziz, there can’t be any peace through one-side endeavor; it has got to be reciprocal. Should Pakistani artists be prevented from performing in India then? This theory is unacceptable almost in every way. On one hand, it will malign India’s global reputation and on the other hand, it will prove that the country is too susceptible to terrorism, can’t defend itself anymore. India has to focus on to frustrate the nefarious designs.
There are hundreds of talented artists in Pakistan. If India (though, I am sure it will not) bans Pakistani artists it will increase the problems and International bashing. I think India should not impose any ban. At least, these small things (one sided invitations, collaborations, etc) will go in records.
No, its not correct India is known for welcoming and providing shelter to every stranger very warmly. And this is one of the reasons why India is known worldwide. So, it becomes our responsibility to take our culture to our many more generations thereby attending and giving a fair chance to all the artists not only from Pakistan but from every other country to come and fill our nation with their talent. Hence, banning is not at all in a question. Do you agree with me?
The solution is more searching on their backgrounds, people they are communicating, intercepts their messages etc. – to spot any wolf in the skin of the sheep. Like the FBI,… does Otherwise Terror attacks, etc on India + all the sheep will be targeted by the victims of eg terrorism

Spread love Dear Ignited minds, Pakistanis were once Indians, we share same ideologies, same cultural backgrounds, and same values. We need to spread love. Artists and players are our ambassadors to spread love. Banning them is neither correct diplomatically nor humanely. - Vande Mataram
i do not think banning them completely is a solution to this issue. because, this would definitely harm the reputation of india which is well know for warmth and hospitality it extents to the guest. rather, they should be restricted in their movements and performaces and there should be constant check on their whereabouts when in india.
i dont think it is right to ban any artist to perform his or her art anywhere. india is a free country and supports freedom to express. but government should keep a check on their visa and their stay should be made limited so that they can only perform and leave the country. this would also reduce the agitations in india and also keep up our relation with pakistan
I don't think that it is anything wise to ban Pakistani artist in india. I guess everyone has the freedom to show their talent and get famous no matter he belongs to any country. On one side we are talking about peace and harmony with pakistan and on the other side we are thinking to ban pakistani artist in india. Artists and art knows no boundation and restrictions. If it has the strength then it will cover the 7 seas and reaches to the masses no matter how bad the situation is in pakistan and india. I personally strictly against the ban put on pakistani artists coming and performing in india. It will bring harmony in both the countries if india and pakistan comes together in any way.
