With the increase in global warming the climate of the country has become truly 'uncertain' due to which events like flooding and cyclones. The recent disaster in Uttarakhand is one such example of that has jolted and deteriorated the human life tremendously. Human lives become endangered when such natural calamities take place and we cannot do any immediate help. There is a need to develop a proper water management system that maintains a climate data and provides all the detailed information about the flood modeling and hydrology that will further help the people not only to know that when it is going to rain but till when, how much and when it is going to run off. This data could be exchanged among different agencies that can predict about any flood within 18 hours in advance. This exchange of data will help the agencies as well as the cities to manage water quality, impact of flood risk/droughts with the maximum use of resources.
