I am equally vocal about men being objectified in commercials as I speak against women objectification. Now it is not a hidden fact anymore as to how the glamour industry makes money rapidly with treatment of women like products. How many times have we really pondered upon the ads that exhibit women in sexist light? Be it the lyrics of new age songs which are used in item numbers or the advertisements that somehow show a relation between a perfume and a woman or even a beer and a woman. The gender stereotypes are still very much prevalent in our ‘modern’ India.
